WWchat (“the Extension”, “we”, “our”) is a browser extension that provides an AI-powered chat assistant accessible on any webpage. This Privacy Policy explains what data the Extension collects, how it is used, and what rights you have regarding your data.

By installing or using WWchat, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Data We Collect

2.1 Data You Provide Directly

2.2 Data Stored Locally (on your device only)

Chat history — all conversations are stored in your browser’s localStorage. They never leave your device unless you explicitly send a message.
UI preferences — theme (dark/light/system), sidebar state, window position and size.
Hotkey configuration — stored in chrome.storage.sync (synced across your Chrome profile devices).

2.3 Data We Do NOT Collect

WWchat does not:

Collect, transmit, or store any data on our own servers.
Track your browsing history or visited URLs.
Use analytics, telemetry, or crash-reporting services.
